FAQ WHAT ARE YOUR RATES? Tuition is dependent on the hours requested. We try to make our rates affordable while providing quality care. (See “Tuition”) WHAT ARE STAFF QUALIFICATIONS? Staff members are licensed through The Department of Early Education and Care. Staff members are certified yearly in C.P.R. and first aid. Staff members may have Associate Degrees or Bachelor Degrees and are required to complete at least 20 hours of education hours pertaining to the related field. WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS AN ALLERGY? We are not a peanut free center. We make sure that the children with any allergies are kept safe and are seated with either other children with allergies or with children who have no allergy producing foods. DO I PAY FOR SCHOOL VACATION? In order for the slot to be held, you are responsible for weekly tuition payments based on the rate set by the director. You are not responsible for the week of Christmas, beginning with the 24th or the week of 4th of July. WHAT ARE THE CENTERS HOURS? We are open 7:00 A.M to 6:00P.M. Monday through Friday. We offer full, half and partial days. (See “Tuition” section for rates). ARE YOU OPEN IN THE SUMMER? We are open year round. WHAT IS YOU DISCIPLINE POLICY? The behavior management policy at MSLP is that of setting boundaries. This is important for the health and safety of all concerned. Our behavior policy stresses the importance of positive reinforcement for appropriate actions and redirection and verbal warnings for inappropriate actions.
MSLP shall use behavior management techniques that maximize growth and development such as setting reasonable and positive expectations, offering choices and providing children an opportunity to verbalize their feelings, encouraging children to develop self-control through understanding. Our behavior policy includes the following restrictions: * No corporal punishment, including spanking * No cruel or severe punishment, humiliation, verbal or physical abuse or neglect * No denial of food as punishment * No punishment for soiling, wetting or not using the toilet Children participate in the development of class and school rules when possible. IS THIS AN ACADEMIC PROGRAM? Maple Street is a “developmentally appropriate preschool. We offer activities that meet the developmental stage of each child. ARE YOU A LICENSED PROGRAM? Yes, we are licensed through The Department of Early Education and Care and accredited through The National Association for the Education of Young Children. License numbers available upon request.
